Rocío Paz González

Biography

Rocío Paz graduated in Biology from the University of A Coruña (UDC) in 2016. She developed her Final Degree Project entitled "Comparison of different methods of depletion of the most abundant proteins in human serum for proteomic analysis'' in the Proteomics Unit of GIR, at INIBIC.

She then enrolled on a Master in Advanced Biotechnology, at UDC, during the 2016/2017 academic year and specialized in Health Biotechnology during 2017/2018. She completed her Master's Final Project entitled "Development of antibody suspension bead array for the validation of osteoarthritis biomarkers'' in the Proteomics Unit of GIR, at INIBIC.

In 2018, Rocío Paz was hired as a predoctoral researcher under the project "Peptide microarray for the diagnosis and monitoring osteoarthritis", within the IGNICIA program, funded by the Galician Innovation Agency. In the same year, she enrolled the PhD Program of Advanced Biotechnology, at UDC.

Currently, she works under the APPROACH project (IMI- 115770-2). Rocío is a specialist in targeted proteomics strategies, more specifically in immunoassays (ELISA, Western Blot, protein arrays, SISCAPA), mass spectrometry (MRM) and liquid chromatography (HPLC, nano-LC). Most of her experience is focused on the development and optimization of protein suspension microarrays.
