Biography

María Camacho is Graduated in Biology from the University of Seville in August 2013. During the last academic year she was a beneficiary of a Seneca Fellow from the Ministry of Education and Science (MECD) for student’s national mobility, at the University of Santiago de Compostela. She obtained a Master degree in Cellular and Molecular Neurobiology by the Universities of Santiago de Compostela, Vigo and A Coruña, in 2014.

Since 2015, she is part of the Proteomics Unit in the Rheumatology Research Group (GIR) at INIBIC. She is a beneficiary of a PhD Fellow from the Xunta de Galicia (IN606A-2016/012). Her research is focused in the development of antibody microarrays for the validation of Osteoarthritis biomarkers in human serum samples.

In addition, from the research group encourages her participation in courses, seminars and conferences in the area of biomedical research. Within her predoctoral training, she has conducted a research stay at “The Biodesign Institute” in the Arizona State University, led by Dr. Joshua Labaer, in order to learn about NAPPA technology.
