Biography
Beatriz Rocha Loureda was born in A Coruña, Spain in 1986. She graduated in Molecular Biology at the University of A Coruña in 2009. In 2010 she got a MSc in Biomedical Research and Assistance at the University of A Coruña. She then joined the Proteomics Unit of the Reumatology Research Group at INIBIC as a PhD student, with a fellowship funded by Institute of Health Carlos III, ISCIII.
She obtained her PhD in 2015 on the discovery of new chondrogenic biomarkers using proteomics. Currently she is working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Imaging Mass Spectrometry at the Maastricht Multimodal Molecular Imaging Institute (The Netherlands) with a two-year fellowship from the postdoctoral program of Xunta de Galicia. Among other projects, she is applying Imaging Mass Spectrometry to improve the diagnosis of different arthritis.
